Technician Posts in Department of Defence Production:- The Department of Defence Production was set up in 1962, in the aftermath of the Chinese aggression to create a self-reliant and self-sufficient  indigenous defence production base  .  In November, 1965, Department of Defence Supplies was created to forge linkages between the civil industries and defence production units. The two departments were merged in December, 1984 into  the Department of Defence Production and Supplies.

The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, India, invited application from Indian Citizen (both men and women) for filling up the vacancies for the Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial Posts of Technicians at Controllerate of Quality Assurance, Pune. Interested and eligible candidates should send Application Forms on or before 13 July 2013.

Name of the Post: Technicians (Semi Skilled)
No. of Vacancy: 04
Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800
Probation: 2 years

Educational Qualification:
Recognized Industrial Training Institute Pass Certificate or its Equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course approved by Central Government of State Government in any of specified Trades like Carpenter, Machinist, Filter General Mechanic, Painter, Labourer, Cycle Fitter and Packer.

Age Limit: should not exceed the age of 27 yrst.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Written Test followed by Interview. Candidates will be informed about date, venue & time of the Written Test/Trade Skill Test/Interview by the recruitment body in due course.
