Mahatma Gandhi University, also known as M G University, was established on 2 October 1983 in Kottayam. Mahatma Gandhi University (formerly Gandhiji University), has been accredited (B+) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, India. The university has 223 affiliated colleges spread over five districts in central Kerala.

Registration Fee : The applicant has to remit Rs.400/- as Registration Fee (for SC/ST candidates Rs.200/-) along with the application form. The registration fee may be remitted by way of Pay-in Slip of State Bank of Travancore (1) A/c. No: 67223235830 for UCAS courses  (2) A/c No: 67114059391 for DLIS & UCALS. ( Form available in the University website).
               Applicants outside Kerala State may remit registration fee by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Mahatma Gandhi University, P.D.Hills, Athirampuzha, Kottayam payable at State Bank of Travancore, MGU Campus Branch.  Â
