Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University is a public university located in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, this university came into being in August 1982 by Act of the State Legislature and was inaugurated by the President of India. The principal aim of the University is to provide an opportunity to those who are not in a position to avail themselves of the facilities for higher education through regular on-campus study at conventional colleges/universities.
Dr B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad has declared the Result of UG III Year Exam Spell-1 . The Spell-1 exam was conducted in the month of May 2013.

The university adopts a flexible approach for every aspects of higher education such as eligibility, age of entry, choice of courses, method of learning, conduct of exams and operation of educational programs. To keep up with the traditional teacher-student interaction, the university makes use of a variety of learning media viz. Radio, TV, film, audio cassette and the printed study material while arranging contact and counseling programs. The University executes its endeavors through a wide network of 117 Study Centers located across the twin-cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad as well as all the districts of the State.
