Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2023: The Central Railway has released a notification for the recruitment of 2409 apprentices in 2023. Interested candidates can apply online through rrccr.com from 29th August to 28th September 2023. The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Central Railway, Mumbai, is seeking eligible candidates to become Act Apprentices in different trades as per the Apprentices Act 1961. These apprenticeships are available at various Workshops/Units falling under the jurisdiction of Central Railway. The deadline for submitting online applications is 28th September 2023.

Central Railway Apprentice Age Limit:

The age criteria for this position are a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 24 years as of 15th December 2022. There is an upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates.

Central Railway Apprentice Educational Qualification:

To be eligible for the Central Railway Apprentice position, candidates should fulfill the following criteria:

• Successfully passed the 10th class (Matric) examination or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade, issued by the National Council for Vocational Training. Alternatively, a Provisional Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training is also acceptable.

Central Railway Apprentice Selection Process

The selection process for Central Railway Apprenticeship involves the following steps:

• Candidates will be selected based on a merit list that includes all applicants who have applied for the notification.
• The merit list will be created by considering the percentage of marks in matriculation (with a minimum aggregate of 50%) along with ITI marks in the relevant trade chosen for Apprenticeship.
• The final panel will be formed using the simple average of marks obtained in both matriculation and ITI qualifications.

Central Railway Apprentice Application Fee:

• An application fee of ₹100/- is applicable.
• The fee needs to be paid online through various methods such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, or SBI Challan.
