The recruitment for the post of Probationary Clerks shall be on State-wise / Union territory-wise basis. Candidates can apply for Probationary Clerk post in ONE STATE / UNION TERRITORY ONLY and should have appeared for the test, from a centre allotted for that particular State / Union Territory in IBPS CWE-CLERK 2011-12. On selection, candidates will be placed anywhere in that state / union territory depending up on Bank’s requirement and candidate has to work in the place of posting for a minimum period of 5 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, for which no post has been announced, are free to apply against the Un-Reserved Posts, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned.

The number of posts and the reservations provided are provisional and may vary according to actual requirement of the Bank, subject to availability of suitable candidates.

3% of the total posts @ 1% each for VC, HI & OC candidates are reserved for the Persons with Disabilities. It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ Persons with Disabilities in all Offices / Branches of the Bank and they will have to work in the posts identified by the Bank as suitable for them.

As the reservation for PWD candidates are on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category to which the candidate belongs.

The above reservation is inclusive of shortfall / backlog reservation.

b. Qualification:
-
Passed the Common Written Examination [CWE] for Clerks 2011-12 conducted by IBPS, Mumbai and holding a valid IBPS Score Card of the said CWE. Should have obtained a minimum score or above in each subject and also in the Total Weighted Standard Score as stipulated in the Table-A & BÂ above for the State / Union Territory, for which candidate is applying;
- AND
-
A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC/ 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC / 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.
- OR
-
A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration.
- OR

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- AND

Candidate should have proficiency in Official Language of the State / UT for which he / she is applying.
Educational qualification prescribed above is minimum and should have been acquired on or before 01.08.2011. Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted in to percentage and indicate the same in online application, besides indicating the CGPA / OGPA in the on-line application. A copy of “Conversion formula†notified by Board / University for converting Grades in to Percentage has to be submitted at the time of interview.
NOTE:

All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.08.2011. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.08.2011 has to be submitted at the time of interview.

Calculation of Percentage: The fraction of percentage arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%.
COMPUTER LITERACY: Operating & working knowledge in computer systems shall be an essential qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank.
HINDI KNOWLEDGE: The candidates shall acquire working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period.
c) Age as on 01.08.2011 (inclusive):
Minimum – 18 Years, Maximum – 28 Years. (for relaxation in upper age limit, refer Point No. – 5).
