The CDFD (Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics) Hyderabad, is a premier institute in the country, which provides services in DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics and conducts basic research in different areas of modern molecular and cellular biology. The main, themes of recearch at CDFD are:

Genetics
Molecular and Cellular Biology 
Molecular Pathogenesis
Computational & Structural Biology

CDFD invites applications from highly motivated candidates, willing to take up challenges in modem biology, for admissions to thier Research Scholars program. Keeping in view the interdisciplinary nature of modem biology, we espectally encourage persons trom diverse backgrounds to apply. Those ac1rnittec as Research Scholars would be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program of Manipal University or University of Hyderabad.

Eligibility: M.B.B.S. or Masters degree in any branch of Science, Technology, or Agriculture from a recognized University I Institute. Candidates who have not completed their final year I fourth semester examination are not eligible. Candidates (other than MBBS graduates) must have cleared the CSIRIUGC/DBT/ICMRIICARNETforJRF or GATE (All india Top 100 Ranks of all the streams) or JEST.
MBBS candidates are exempted from any of the eligibiity tests mentioned herein. However, only those candidates will be considered who produce proof of having deared the CSIRIUGCIDBT/ICMRIICAR NET JRF Or have qualified BINC examination conducted by the DBT with fellowship or GATE (Alt India Top 100 Ranks4 or JEST. Admission to CDFD—Research Scholars program is based on a 2t1er system inVolving a written I LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written I LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written I LAN based examinationfor.queries regarding the mode of exam, syllabus, etc. click on FAQs.

In the case of candidates whose JRF examination results are announced befcire the written I LAN based examinabon of CDFD takes place, and have qualified the NET With fellowship are also eligible to appear for the CDFD examination upon furnishing the relevant details of havina deared the JRF1NET with fellowship under “SPOT REGISTRATION” Category.

Interested candidates who fulfill the above conditions may register their names for RESEARCH SCHOLARS PROGRAM II – 2011 by applying in the prescribed application form Online.

Complete the application form online at http://www.cdfd.orgin and take the print out of the filled form. Applications may also be made on plain paper as per the format displayed on odrwebsite. The printout of the completed application form alongwith the certificates in support of Date of Birth, Educational qualifications. All the candidates who apply online should also send the printout of the application, failing  which the online application shall be rejected.

The Online facilityof application will open on 10.10.2011 and will be dosed on 25.11.2011.

The last date for receipt of the printout of the applicatiâns is 30.11.2011 and applications received after 30.11.2011 are liable to be rejected.
